GLASGOW — A Barren County constable was arrested sometime early Sunday after an altercation with a woman.
Glasgow Police arrested Joseph E. Ramey, 29, along Cranbrook Drive, according to a news release. Officers initially responded to a domestic complaint.
Upon investigation, officers determined that Ramey and a female had been into a verbal dispute. Ramey allegedly assaulted the victim, handcuffed her and held her against her.
Ramey was arrested and charged with fourth degree assault (domestic violence) no visible injury and first degree unlawful imprisonment.
Sgt. Wesley Hicks made the arrest. Ramey was lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.
The case remains under investigation.
