GLASGOW — A Tennessee man was arrested early Thursday morning after police responded to a complaint along the downtown square.

Glasgow Police said they arrived and located a male subject – later identified as Dylan R. Clark, 33, of Chapel Hill, Tenn.

Police said he “was lost and seemed confused.” He was described in a citation narrative as “manifestly under the influence of drugs” and was sweating “profusely” while making erratic movements.

Another officer and deputy with the Barren County Sheriff’s Office said they had seen Clark at Fivestar along Happy Valley Road on Thursday around 2 a.m. He was in the vehicle’s driver seat at the gas pumps. No one else was inside the car, according to officers.

Clark said the vehicle was not his and revealed he had taken it from someone named Bobby. The vehicle was later identified as a black Infinity SUV.

“Clark stated he left their house out by the lake and went to Five Star to get cigarettes and he accidentally flushed the keys down the toilet,” the citation said.

The vehicle was stolen from Tennessee sometime around Sept. 15, according to Glasgow Dispatch. Clark later told police he had left Tennessee about seven days ago. He said he did not steal it but said Bobby could have. Bobby was never identified beyond a first name.

Clark was lodged at the Barren County Detention Center. He remains lodged on receiving stolen property and public intoxication charges.
