Kristie Shannon Proffitt, 48, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Saturday, December 25th, at TJ Samson Hospital. Kristie was born in Macon County, TN on March 26, 1973, a daughter of thelate Josie (Dickens) and Herman Brooks. On November 23, 1991, she married James Proffitt in Macon County, TN. She was a member of Berea Church of Christ. She was a Girl Scout Leader fortroop 66, and was active in both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Kristie is survived by her husband of 30 years, James Proffitt; adaughter, Jaimie Yokley, and husband, Ryan, of Tompkinsville, KY; a son,Josh Proffitt, of Tompkinsville, KY; three grandchildren, Jayse, Brookelynand Briley Yokley. Kristie is also survived by two sisters, Janet Coffee, and husband, Johnny,of Lafayette, TN; Delilah Hatfield, of Fountain Run, KY; two brothers,Tony Brooks, and wife, Tracy,of Lafayette, TN; Christopher Brooks, ofLafayette, TN; a half sister, Juanita Hire, of Bowling Green, KY; a halfbrother, Orval Brooks, of Glasgow, KY; father-in-law, Rondal Proffitt; andseveral nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by two half-sisters, JoanHaynes and Shirley Boles, one half brother, Gary Binon, and one nephew,Andrew Brooks. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM atYokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Isenberg Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, 4-8 PM, and Wednesday 8:00 AM until service time at11:00 AM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kristie’s memory may be made for funeralexpenses.
