Genave Smith Steenbergen, 97, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Sunday, December 26,2021, in Glasgow, Kentucky. She was born June 21, 1924, in Dry Fork, Kentucky to the late Boyd Smith and Gladys Thomerson Smith. She worked as a beautician for several years and worked as a sales associate at Watson’s Department Store for over 20years. Genave was an Austin Tracy High School graduate and a longtime member of Columbia Avenue Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Judy Denton (David) of Glasgow; two grandsons, Grant Smith Lawrence of Bowling Green, Christopher Clark Lawrence (Kelly) of Glasgow; two great granddaughters, Emmalee Lawrence, Ella Kate Lawrence, both of Glasgow; one sister, Sarah Norman of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Joy Lynn Steenbergen; one brother, Charles B. Smith; and two sisters, Dorothy Thomas, and Daphna Ford. The funeral service for Mrs. Steenbergen will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December29th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F.
