Calvin Melton, Jr.

Calvin Melton, Jr. 85, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 at his residence. He was a son of the late Calvin Bud Melton, Sr. and Roxie Myrtle Horton Melton. He was a retired maintenance worker at SKF Industries and a member of the Southside Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Patty Borders Melton; one daughter: Shelia Compton; one step-daughter: Tami Madson; two grandchildren: Chad Compton (Kelly) and Lauren Compton (Lewis); two step-grandchildren: Nick Swayne (Lauren) and Kaila Madson (Carlos); three step-great-grandchildren: Jack, Madi, and Natalie; one sister: Louise Craine; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother: Bobby Melton; and three sisters: Dorothy Lynam, Ruby Chapman, and Thelma Williams. Funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Wednesday until time for services at the funeral home.
