Billy Darrell Soards, 66, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born October 20, 1954 in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Hascal Soards and Anna Eva Jones Soards. Billy worked as a bindery operator at R.R. Donnelley for 20 years and also worked for Express Logistics before he became disabled. He was a member of Coral Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife, Margaret Soards; two daughters, Angela Dawn Copas (Jeremy) and Amanda Beth Soards (Tommy Mills), both of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Andrea Mutter (fiancé Timmy Caffee) of Smiths Grove, Ariel Cotton (fiancé Kaleb Lewis) of Campbellsville, Allison Cotton of Glasgow; one great grandchild, Tamen Caffee; one stepdaughter, Melissa Gibson (Jason Smith); one step granddaughter, Heather Emmitt (Chase Weber); two step great grandchildren, Landon Rippy and Joseph Kol Weber; one brother, Tony Soards (Cheryl); four sisters, Margie Maiden of Toledo, Ohio, Joyce Trowbridge of Oregon, Ohio, Betty Sue Proffitt, Linda Harlow (Johnny) of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Pat Soards of Louisville; and one brother-in-law, Mitchell Bray.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Soards; one sister, Mary Bray; one nephew, Marty Bray; and three brothers-in-law, Roy Maiden, Lendal Trowbridge, and Wilson Proffitt.
A graveside service for Mr. Soards will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 29th at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
