Bessie Edith Loyd, 82, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Friday, August 27th, at TJ Samson Community Hospital. Bessie was born in Tompkinsville, KY on May 9, 1939, a daughter of the late Lillie Mae (Stacey) and Charlie Clay Harris. She was married to Lenoard Levy Loyd, who preceded her in death. Bessie is survived by two daughters, Emma Jean Vinson, of Tompkinsville, KY; Loretta Meador, of Gamaliel, KY; a son, Timmy Loyd, of Tompkinsville, KY; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Bessie is also survived by four sisters, Mary Dubree, of Gamaliel, KY; Elese Harrison, of Gamaliel, KY; Helen Emberton, of Mt. Herman, KY; Wanda Bow, of Red Boiling Springs, TN. Other than her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Gene, Joe and Herman Harris and two sisters, Lizzie Ruth Bennett and Edna Ferguson. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 30th at Bethlehem Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
