CAVE CITY, Ky – A Cave City native raised a lot of money for charity while eating a lot of hot dogs in the process.

Bartley Weaver – a state trooper, fitness coach, former Tennessee Titans mascot, and competitive eater – teamed up with the SOKY Patriots along with Jack Rickett & The Dog Pound in Cave City to raise money for the Backpack Program of Barren County.

Flat donations were made as well as a monetary pledge per hot dog consumed as Weaver attempted to eat as many as he could in the allotted time.

In 10 minutes, Weaver finished off 21 hot dogs to raise over 16-hundred dollars for the Backpack Program.

The Backpack Program of Barren County provides food for school children to take home on Fridays and feed them through the weekend.
