Lonnie E. Meredith, age 88 of the Kessinger Community passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. She was a native of Hart County and member of Wilkerson Temple United Methodist Church. She was a foster parent to over 81 children and a adoptive parent to three. She was also recognized twice as Foster Parent of the Year in the state of Kentucky. She loved her flowers, her dogs, birds, and canning. She worked along side her husband, farming for many years. She had a genuine love and desire to take care of everyone.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Meredith and her son, Ken Puckett, Jr.
She is survived by seven children, Betty Jo Walker and the late Ernie Walker, of Franklin, Gary Puckett (Carolyn) of Munfordville, Jimmy Puckett “Crow” (Etta) of Horse Cave, Jennifer Garrison and the late Greg Garrison of Owensboro, Amanda Meredith of Kessinger, William Meredith and Nicholas Meredith both of Munfordville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Center Point Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Winn Funeral Home and again on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
