Edna Jane Plumlee, 95, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at her residence. She was a daughter of the late Edward (Dude) Houchens and Mandy Lee Alexander Vinson.  She was a former employee at Kentucky Pants.  She was saved at the age of 16 years old and joined Dover Missionary Baptist Church in Haywood where she was still a member.

She is survived by three children: Carlos (Helen) Plumlee of Glasgow, Ky., Phyllis (Gordon) Brandon of Glasgow, Ky. and Sandra (George) Whitehead of Franklin, Ky.; five grandchildren: Kim Sewell of Glasgow, Ky., Myra (Les) Little of Scottsville, Ky., Carla (James)Scott of Glasgow, Ky., Shawn Tracy of Franklin, Ky., Christopher (Essence) Whitehead of Gallatin, Tn.  Three step-grandchildren: Paula Button of Glasgow, Ky., Tyra Murray of Bowling Green, Ky. And Derrin Whitehead of Franklin, Ky.; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; one half sister: Carol Ann Sneed of Glasgow, Ky.,

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hazel Warden Plumlee; her siblings: Inez Green, Violet Hughes, Charles Houchens and Arlis Houchens.

Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.   Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In keeping with the Governor’s recommendations for safety during funeral and memorial services, the number of attendees in the funeral home at any given time will be limited; no food permitted in the lounge; social distancing will be necessary; and face coverings are required.
