Nominations are open for this year’s Best in Kentucky, which highlights unique aspects of communities throughout the commonwealth.
In years past Glasgow and Barren County staples have been featured in the top three of their respective categories — in 2025 the Grove, Kellie McKay, Mammoth Cave National Park and Ace Coffee were in the top three of their categories, and Mammoth Cave won first place in the road trip destination and the place for adventure category.
People have until Feb. 28, 2026 to submit their nominations. The awards cover a wide range of community uniqueness from people and personalities, and destinations to outdoor, and eat and drink locations.
“Hidden gems and longtime favorites alike are invited to be nominated in the statewide celebration of Kentucky’s communities,” a Kentucky Living press release stated. “Kentucky Living’s Best in Kentucky awards are a chance to honor the people and places that make Kentucky a place we’re proud to call home.”
Nominations can be submitted on KentuckyLiving.com, and the top three will appear on a online ballot in May. The winners will be announced in August.
This is the 17th annual Best in Kentucky awards, which are presented by the Kentucky Living Magazine.
