FRANKFORT — Gov. Andy Beshear announced Thursday that several cities across the commonwealth will receive more than $162 million from the American Rescue Plan Act. It is the second round of ARPA funding for governments across the state.

The money was scheduled to go to more than 360 non-entitlement cities — those with populations under 50,000 that did not file for a different distinction with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development — on Thursday, according to a news release from the governor’s office.

Several cities in the area are among those receiving the funding from the state.

  • City of Bonnieville — $35,275.27
  • City of Burkesville — $195,617.42
  • City of Campbellsville — $1,534,207.14
  • City of Cave City — $324,158.38
  • City of Columbia — $615,179.38
  • City of Edmonton — $213,121.44
  • City of Franklin — $1,203,902.31
  • City of Gamaliel — $47,835.41
  • City of Glasgow — $1,935,463.37
  • City of Munfordville — $221,673.02
  • City of Park City — $74,692.72
  • City of Scottsville —$606,761.42
  • City of Tompkinsville — $300,908.77

The funding will help offset expenses related to COVID-19 such as personal protective equipment, vaccination clinics, loss of revenue, payroll and more. The total amount of funding to be sent out to cities is $162,101,603.

The Department for Local Government (DLG) is tasked with distributing these funds.
