GLASGOW — Five alumni of Barren County Schools will be inducted into the school system’s Hall of Distinguished Honor on Saturday evening.
The event is hosted by the Barren County Alumni Association. It is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. inside the auditorium at Barren County High School. A reception is planned before the event at 5:30 p.m. inside the auditorium’s lobby.
This year’s class of inductees includes Jackie Browning, Dr. Christopher McCoy, Tony McGuire, Dr. Jerry Ralston and Tim Shipley. These inductees were selected by the Alumni Association after a series of recommendations.
“We have a topnotch group that’s going to be honored into the Barren County Hall of Distinguished Honor this year,” said Alumni Representative Todd Steenbergen. “We’re looking forward to it.”
Several students will also be awarded various scholarships amid the inductions.
