Eric Lee Turner, age 36, of Gamaliel, Kentucky, passed away on April 9, 2022, at The Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville. On August 9, 1985, he was born the son of Linda Kay (Risden) and the late Hobert Raymond Turner. Eric was a 2004 Monroe County High School Graduate. He had been employed by Stitches, Inc. for seven years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.
He is survived by his mother, Linda (Risden) Turner; four siblings, Brandi Pyles of Indiana, Tanner Turner of Tompkinsville, Dakota Turner (Kristen), and Kaiah Turner both of Gamaliel; three uncles, Ben Turner, Randy Turner (Sandy) both of Tompkinsville and Aaron Turner (Laura) of Austin Tracy; two aunts, Charlotte Key (Weldon) and Ginger Shive; four nieces, Allyson Hagan, Madyson Hagan, Ariel Turner, and Addyson Trent; six nephews, Caleb Turner, Kayden White, Jaret Turner, Jase Pyles, Graysen Turner, and Colt Turner; his dog Oreo also survive.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hobart Turner, and Sarah Turner; his maternal grandparents, Raymond Risden and Patricia Kerby.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 15, 2022, at Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel with burial to follow in the New Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday morning after 9:00 am until the time for the service at 2:00 pm.
Pallbearers are Dakota Turner, Tanner Turner, Edward Turner, Donnie Peden, Jessie McDonald, Michael Woods, Michael Graves, and David Ulrich.
Honorary Pallbearers are Kaiah Turner, Kayden White, Jase Pyles, Jaret Turner, Colt Turner, Graysen Turner, and Caleb Turner.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations for funeral expenses, and these may be made at the funeral home.
