GLASGOW — A man was arrested along Park City-Glasgow Road Thursday after he allegedly slashed a woman’s tires and threatened her with a knife.

The Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded and made contact with 27-year-old Jason M. Wood. He had a knife in his front pocket, according to an arrest citation.

Wood had two empty white bags in his pocket, police said. He told them “it was dope. I threw it in the yard.” He also admitted he slashed the tires of the vehicle on the property.

The female owner of the vehicle told deputies she was threatened. It’s alleged Wood told the woman he would kill her, according to a statement she made to authorities.

Deputies also located a pill bottle and suspected methamphetamine at the scene. A field test deemed the substance to be methamphetamine, police said.

Wood allegedly slipped his hands from his cuffs while en route to the Barren County Detention Center. He hit his head on the window in the cruiser and continued to resist arrest, police said. He made threats and “could not make sense of his words and was talking to people who were not present,” according to an arrest citation.

He was lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.
