Both men are charged with engaging in organized crime through a criminal syndicate and knowingly exploiting an adult involving more than $300. Those charges concern alleged conduct between July 29 and Aug. 12, 2026, in Barren County.

Akashdeep Singh of Manteca, California, was arrested by Glasgow police in the parking lot of Family Dollar off Columbia Avenue on Aug. 12 where they said he had arranged to meet the Glasgow woman. He has remained in the Barren County Detention Center since on a $150,000 cash bond.

Manjit Singh also faces three counts of theft by deception involving $10,000 dollars or more, alleging money and gold coins were obtained around Aug. 5, 6 and 7.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Manjit Singh, according to court records. The Indianapolis, Indiana, man remained on the loose as of Tuesday morning.

The organized crime count alleges participation in theft by deception as part of a criminal syndicate’s continuing activities. The exploitation count alleges the adult was 82 at the time and identifies the total loss as $157,157.
