GLASGOW —T.J. Regional Health presented a $10,000 check to the South Central Kentucky Chapter of the American Red Cross Wednesday as a part of its “12 Months of T.J. initiative.”
“Over the past two years, the support for T.J. Regional Health from the communities we serve has been nothing short of amazing,”according to a news release. “While we are always very involved in the communities we serve, we decided to find ways to go above and beyond in giving back to those who have supported T.J. Regional Health during the ongoing global pandemic.”
The health group said it’s putting forth special effort to support local families, charities, partner organizations, students, schools, healthcare workers and more as a way to say “thank you.”
“Our mission is about caring for the people we love, our patients, one another and a community that means so much to us,” said Neil Thornbury, CEO of T.J. Regional Health. “We are proud to offer this gift so that the American Red Cross can help our neighbors facing emergencies and those needing disaster assistance.”
January’s focus was on support for the South Central Kentucky Chapter of the American Red Cross.
“They are a great partner for our organization and we rely on the ARC for our blood supply,” according to a news release.
“I would like to thank T.J. Regional Health for their generous donation and being such a valuable community partner,” said Jennifer Capps, Executive Director of the South Central Kentucky Chapter of the American Red Cross. “Their continued support of our Chapter and our blood program impacts lives daily and for that we are incredibly grateful.”
