Elmer “Wayne” Johnson, 74, of Glasgow, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Oakview Nursing Home in Calvert City, KY. He was born in Glasgow on July 16, 1947, to the late Lloyd Elmer Johnson and Lucille Weaver Johnson. Wayne was a founding member and helped establish the East Barren Volunteer Fire Department. He retired from the Glasgow Fire Department after 27 years and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his son, Eric Johnson (Kim) of Glasgow; grandson Evan Johnson; brother-in-law David Martin; niece, Jennie Turner (Randy); nephew, Scott Martin.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Martin.
