Bobby Glen Harbison, 78, passed away in Glasgow at his residence, December 5, 2021,
surrounded by his loving family and went on to be with the Lord. He was born in
Russellville, Ky on March 1, 1943, to the late Mathias Perry Harbison and the late
Cassie Ellen Nealy Harbison.
Bob started his career with three years in the Army stationed in Germany. When he
returned to the States he met and married the love of his life. He went on to have
three children, ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Bob worked 10 years at Cohart Refractory in Louisville as a machinist. He then moved
his family to Glasgow Ky and worked at RR Donnelley & Sons for 27 years as a
machinist where he then retired to do the things he loved; fishing, hunting,
gardening, and spending winters in Florida with good friends.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was a long-standing member of the
Masonic Lodge in Etoile, Ky and was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Allen Harbison of 57 years, children; David
Harbison (Beth), Sheryl Pea (Roy), and Mark Harbison (Sandra), grandchildren; Blake
Harbison (Kelly), Chastity Neal (Chris), Justin Bybee (Emily), Cassie Harbison Feese
(Gabe), Max Pea, Macy Pea, Michael Harbison, Makena Harbison, all of Glasgow,
Brandon Harbison (Katie) of Virginia, Mara Harbison Wooten (Dawson) of Germany, and
seventeen great-grandchildren. Also surviving; one brother, Karl Harbison,
Louisville, a twin sister, Anice Leach (Ralph) Elizabethtown, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Curtis
Harbison of Louisville, and Billy Joe Harbison of Florida.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12:00pm Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Temple
Baptist Church, Long Hunters Trail Glasgow, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00am
until time for the service at the church. Masonic Rights and DAV Chapter #20 will
provide military honors at the service.
