Jerry Carey, age 74 of Cave City, departed this life on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at his residence. The Barren County native was born on August 9, 1947 to the late Willie and Maedell Carey. He was married for fifty-six years to the love of his life, Phyllis Carey, who survives.
Jerry worked in electrical maintenance for SKF Industries, and was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— two daughters, Tammy Robinson and Bobbi Taylor (Mike) of Cave City; five granddaughters, Beth Sexton (John), Christie Robinson, Molly Taylor (Zack Todd), Katie Taylor and Carey Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Sexton, Ethan Wayne Middleton and Haley Middleton; two brothers, Bobby Carey and Jimmy Carey (Hope) and several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Cave City Cemetery.
