Leroy Self, 81, of Brownsville died at 8:55 PM November 15, 2021
at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. The Edmonson County native was a farmer, worked for
General Electric, owned Bestway Pizza and was a member of Red Hill General Baptist
Church. He was a son of the late Patrick Self and Miriam Mae Vincent Self. He is
also preceded in death by two brothers, McClellan Self and Wilbur Self; and two
sisters, Laverne Durbin and Norma Sanders.
Surviving are his wife, Juliet; two sons, Tracy Self (Mary Ellen) of Alvaton and Jessie Self (Maurica) of Brownsville; two daughters, Maedena Stewart (David) of Smiths Grove, and Kristal Self of Brownsville. Seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. A
sister-in-law, Lucille Self of Huff. A brother-in-law, Eddie Sanders of Brownsville
Funeral for Leroy Self will be at 1:00 PM Thursday at
Gravil Funeral Home with burial in Red Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 PM
Wednesday and after 10 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
