Thomas Franklin Hurt, 89, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, November 9,
- He was born September 20, 1932 in Lucas, Kentucky to the late Lacy Whitney
Hurt and Lizzie Helen Huddleston Hurt. Thomas was a cutting machine operator at
Handmacher for over 42 years before retiring. He was a true-blue Kentucky basketball
fan and loved spending time with his precious grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Billy Hurt (Pam) and Bobbi Hurt Herald (Richard);
seven grandchildren, Dr. Amber Hurt Chambers, Annie Hurt Thompson (Scott), Aimee
Hurt Grinstead (Andy), Justin Cary (Savannah), Andy Hurt (Abby), Ben Hurt (Rachel),
Allen Herald (Delanna); thirteen great grandchildren, Kellen, Carys, and Carlynn
Thompson, Easton and Emerson Grinstead, Reagan Chambers, Trenton Hurt, Knox and Jase
Cary, Michael Rock, McKenzie Pedigo, Waylin and Cash Herald; and sister-in-law,
Juanita Smith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years,
Rosa Mae Williams Hurt; one grandchild, Joseph Scott Hurt; and his siblings, Hattie
Winn, Josephine Hurt, Francis Wolfe, Lewis Hurt, Roy Hurt, Bessie Dugard, Helen
Bowles, and Hallie Spencer.
The funeral service for Mr. Hurt will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 17th at A.
- Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday morning until
