Kenneth H. Lewis

Kenneth H. Lewis, 88, of Brownsville passed away peacefully Oct.

15, 2021 at his home. He was born May 14, 1933 in the Boiling springs community to

the late Clint Lewis and Matilda Wilson. He lost his parents at a young age and was

raised in Boiling Springs by his grandmother, the late Stella Long Wilson. He was

also preceded in death by a sister, Sybil Wells; three half brothers, Huel, Cletus

and James Lewis; a son-in-law, Gary Raymer; and a daughter, Linda Kinser Sowders.

Kenneth was a retired painter, a US Army veteran and a member of Union Light

Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed working puzzles, fishing, mushroom hunting,

painting and keeping his yard and fields mowed with his John Deere. He never knew a

stranger and would always make you smile and laugh. He loved spending time with his

family and fur baby, Toby- and he always put them first. Funeral services will be

held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Holly

Springs Cemetery. Visitation will take place 12-7 PM Tuesday and after 9:00 AM

Wednesday. The family requests that all visitors please wear a mask and practice

social distancing.Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 years,

Genevie Houchin Lewis; two sons, Kenny Lewis (Dreama) of Bowling Green and Tim

Kinser (Carla) of Brownsville; two daughters, Jeanna Lewis Newton (Chris) of Mammoth

Cave and Marie Raymer of Brownsville; nine grandchildren, Kendra Lewis Moore (Cash),

Casey Newton Baker (Chris), Megan Kinser Yoder (Noah), Chrissy Cagle, Dana Eastman,

Andrea Eastman, Ashley Raymer James (Jeff) and Travis Raymer; 12 great

grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Alton Houchin (Sue); two sisters-in-law, Marilyn

Houchin Wells (Danny) and Angela Houchin Reshonsky (Kelley Elmore); a great friend

of the family, Jeff Self; several nieces, nephews cousins and friends; and his

spoiled fur baby, Toby.
