Resurfacing on KY 63 in Monroe County to Begin

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Project to resurface KY 63 from near Vine Street (mile marker 9) to near Carl Benson Road (mile point 11.5) in Monroe County is set to start. Crews will begin milling and paving operations within the City of Tompkinsville Sunday, Oct. 3 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The milling and paving in that section is expected to take about a week.

Parking on S Main Street and West Fourth Street will be prohibited during the milling & resurfacing time. Vehicles need to be moved before 6 p.m. Sunday night. Once the section in the city is complete, crews will move to the other section of KY 63. Motorists should expect flaggers and lane closures. Please use caution traveling through the area. The work is weather dependent so the schedule could change.

The project will also include sidewalk ramps replacement, The entire project is expected to be completed in late November.
