Shirley Bogard, age 89, of Glasgow, KY, passed away Saturday, August 21,
2021, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was formerly employed with
Jefferson County Board of Education.
She was the daughter of the late Dave Westmoreland and the late Sarah
Sallly Jane Poindexter. She was also preceded in death by her husband James
Theodore Bogard and two sons Leslie Theodore Bogard and Mark Wayne Bogard.
She is survived by four daughters, Patricia Poynter (Keith), Cave City, KY,
Joyce Judd, Louisville, KY, Donna Styles, Leitchfield, KY, Sally Powell
(Steve), Glasgow, KY; one son, Russell Bogard (Cathy), Louisville, KY; one
sister, Reba Westmoreland, Louisville, KY; one brother, Neal Poindexter
(Jeneal), Burkesville, KY; 11 grandchildren, 24 great gandchildren, several
great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT, Monday, August
23, 2021 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM CT, Tuesday, August 24, 2021 Brooks
Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM CT, Tuesday, August 24, 2021
at Brooks Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Cub Run Cemetery, Cub Run, KY.
