Dorris Jean Thompson, age 90, of Cave City, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Lucas, KY on February 23, 1931, to the late Henry A. Winn and Mamye Houchens Winn. Dorris received her Beautician License from Bowling Green Beauty College in 1948. She was a hairdresser all her life and is a member of the Greater Vision Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, David Allen Thompson of Cave City; a daughter, Linda Doris Coleman of Cave City; two grandchildren, Mary L. Vickery of FL., and Jay Coleman (Rochelle) of Cave City; four great grandchildren, Emily Vickery, Mindy Vickery, Abigail & Adeline Coleman; two great great grandchildren, Rayleigh Witty, and Corbin Hamilton.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Depp Thompson, and brother, Ralph Winn, and cousins, she considered her siblings.
Funeral service will be 3:30pm Wednesday, August 18th at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and on Wednesday morning until time for service at the funeral home. A.F. Crow is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Thompson.
