Mary Alice Atwell, age 78 of Hardyville, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was a native of Metcalfe County and a member at Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who loved her family, especially her grand-kids.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Atwell; her parents, Lewis and Lura Fancher; one sister, Bettie Atwell.
She is survived by one son, Ricky Atwell (Aimee); one daughter, Susan Taylor (Keith); five grandchildren, Tyler Atwell, Aaron Atwell, Emmee Atwell, Kaitlyn Taylor, and Kurtis Taylor; two sisters, Marjorie Lile (Richard) and Martha Bryant; two brothers, Bobby Fancher and Keith Fancher (Michelle); several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Houk Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14 at Winn Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
