GLASGOW, Ky — On 05/27/2021 at approximately 10:21 p.m. Mr. James Dylan Lacy, 23 of Glasgow, was arrested on a Barren River Drug Task Force indictment warrant for Trafficking in Marijuana 8 oz to < 5 pounds 1st offence, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The investigation led to Mr. Lacy after a parcel was intercepted by the Drug Task Force that contained $9,000.00 in cash that was being shipped to California in July 2019. Mr. Lacy was having marijuana and THC products shipped to Glasgow from California.
After the parcel was discovered, Detectives went to Mr. Lacy’s residence and interviewed Mr. Lacy who admitted that he was sending the cash to California to purchase Marijuana Wax and THC Vapes and was selling them. Mr. Lacy owns a vape store in Glasgow but stated that he did not sell marijuana or THC items out of his store but did have people who sold for him (though evidence showed that marijuana/THC products were being sold out of the store).
Mr. Lacy gave consent to search his residence where numerous marijuana, THC wax and THC vape products were located along with over $18,000 in cash and items of drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Lacy was transported and lodged in the Barren County Jail. Additional charges may be pending from items that were discovered after the arrest.
The DTF executed three search warrants on Mr. Lacy’s business and residence on the May 28th where Detectives found a large amount of additional illegal THC products and a large amount of cash. The Barren River Drug Task Force was assisted by the Glasgow Police Department and the Barren County Sheriff’s Dept.
