Joyce Ausbrooks Mayhew

Joyce Ausbrooks Mayhew, 87, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at her residence.  The Scottsville, KY native was a retired employee of Lenk Drackett, former dairy farmer and member of New Life Fellowship Church.  She was a daughter of the late Levi Viven Taylor and Mary Lee Hunt Taylor Young and wife of the late Kenneth Lee Ausbrooks and Edwin Mayhew.

 

She is survived by 2 sons:  Charles Ausbrooks and wife, Hannah, Scottsville, KY and Larry Ausbrooks and wife, Linda, Oakland, KY;

2 daughters:  Jane Smith and husband, Herbert, and Patty Landers and husband, Jimmy, all of Scottsville, KY;

1 brother:  Billy Taylor, Scottsville, KY;

1 sister:  Peggy McGinty, Crosby, TX;

1 brother-in-law:  Bobby Ausbrooks, Adolphus, KY;

8 grandchildren:  Eddie Ausbrooks (Susan); Joey Ausbrooks (Amy); Kenny Ausbrooks; Chris Ausbrooks (Linda); Natalie Davis (Shane); Janea Williams (Evan); Taylor Landers (Lindsey); Marcus Landers (Ann-Kathryn);

2 step grandchildren:  Jarrold Schwarzkoph and Ashley Nicole Tedder (Steven);

16 great grandchldren.

She was preceded in death by a son:  David Ausbrooks and wife, Maedean; a grandson:  Daniel Alan Ausbrooks; 1 brother:  Jack Taylor and 4 sisters:  Hazel Longsworth, Stella Eudean Taylor, Beulah Jean Carter and Janice L. Taylor.

 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Ausbrooks and Bro. Taylor Landers officiating and burial in Walker’s Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Joey Ausbrooks officiating.  Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 7:00 a.m. Monday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Walker’s Chapel Cemetery.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
