Caden French of Burkesville faces six counts in Barren Circuit Court in connection with a Sept. 26, 2026, crash in Glasgow, according to his indictment. The charges include two felony counts of first-degree wanton endangerment involving two juveniles.

The crash happened on Grandview Avenue between Commercial and Sorenson avenues, near the shopping center with Rural King.

The grand jury alleges French engaged in conduct that created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to each juvenile under circumstances showing extreme indifference to human life. Each wanton endangerment count is classified in the indictment as a Class D felony.

French also faces two counts of third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor. Those counts allege he knowingly gave or obtained alcoholic or malt beverages for the two minors and are classified as Class A misdemeanors.

A fifth count charges French with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol while under age 21, first offense. The indictment alleges he operated or controlled a vehicle with an alcohol concentration of at least 0.02, measured within two hours of operation or control.

The sixth count alleges possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in the passenger area of a vehicle on a public highway or its right of way. The indictment classifies the final two counts as violations; all six counts are allegations, not findings of guilt.
