The Glasgow Scotties improved to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in district action with a 46-6 win over visiting Butler County on Friday.

It took Glasgow 42 seconds to take the lead for the good in the game. After a good kick return by Kaebran Jones, Jaylen Bradley finished the Scotties’ initial drive with a 13-yard run. Levi Mann nailed the extra point and the lead was 7-0.

Glasgow added another touchdown before the end of the first quarter when quarterback Landen Holley rumbled 13 yards to the end zone. Mann added another extra point and the Scotties led 14-0 with 3:40 left in the quarter.

Glasgow tacked on four scores in the second quarter to start a running clock before halftime.

The first touchdown was a 58 yard reception by Kaebran Jones from Holley. The extra point kick was blocked and the Scotties led 20-0 with 10:19 left in the second period.

The second touchdown was a 16-yard run by Jaithan Franklin. Glasgow attempted a two-point conversion, but was stopped and led 26-0.

The third touchdown was on a 22-yard pass play between Holley and Jones. Daniel Rodriguez kicked the PAT and the Scotties led 33-0.

The final first-half touchdown was on a pass from Holley to Kyle Sledge that Sledge took 19 yards to the end zone. That extra point attempt also failed and the Scotties led 39-0 with less than a minute before halftime.

In the second half, Brad Smith caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Holley, and Rodriguez added the extra point, and Butler County scored a touchdown on a one-yard run to set the final score of 46-6.

Holley completed 10 of 14 passes for 217 yards and three touchdowns.

Jones caught three passes for 98 yards, while Smith caught three passes for 52 yards, and Sledge finished with three receptions for 39 yards.
