The Kentucky State Police Foundation has launched a fundraiser to support the family of state trooper Hayden Phillips.
Phillips was shot and killed in the line of duty Monday along Interstate 65 near Smiths Grove.
All money raised through the Trooper Hayden Phillips Fund will go directly to his family, the foundation stated. Donations help with meals, household expenses and other everyday needs.
The Kentucky State Police posted on social media that this fundraiser is the only official one. “All other avenues are scams and are not authorized by the family,” they stated.
