The Glasgow Scotties delivered a commanding performance against the Allen County-Scottsville Patriots, securing a 48-0 victory on Friday night. The Scotties improved their record to 4-0, while the Patriots fell to 1-3.
Keyshawn Austin’s 70-yard touchdown reception with no time left in the first half was a standout moment, triggering the running clock mercy rule. Quarterback Landen Holley was instrumental, completing 8 of 11 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns. Kyle Sledge also shone, rushing for 137 yards on seven carries.
The scoring opened with Sledge’s 1-yard touchdown run, followed by a Levi Mann extra point early in the first quarter. Jaylen Bradley added a 53-yard touchdown reception from Holley, and Jaithan Franklin contributed with a 30-yard touchdown run.
Holley also scored on a 9-yard run and ran in a 2-point conversion. Sledge’s 75-yard run late in the second quarter further extended Glasgow’s lead. Kaebran Jones capped off the scoring with a touchdown pass from Bryson Sexton in the third quarter.
The Scotties host Adair County next Friday at 7 p.m. to open district action.
