Phillip Bertram, Elizabethtown

Phillip Bertram, age 90, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Vitality Living in Elizabethtown. He served in the United States Air Force, was a former Deputy Sheriff of Hart County, KY, served on the Board of the Caveland Country Club, and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a member of the Mt. Beulah United Methodist Church.

He was the son of the late Chester Stanley Bertram and the late Viola May Scott Bertram.

He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Marie Davidson Bertram; three sisters; Cleo Ayers, Patsy Knight, Mary Elizabeth Bertram; a daughter-in-law, Judy Lynn Wilkerson Bertram.

He is survived by four sons, Gary Bertram, Independance, MO, Steve Bertram and wife Michelle, Bloomfield, IN, Marty Bertram and wife Terri, Lawrenceburg, KY, Mike Bertram and wife Kathi, Munfordville, KY; nine grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren; three brothers, Raymon Bertram, Paul Bertram, Randel Bertram; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.

The family will welcome friends from 1:00- 6:00 PM CT on Sunday, August 9, 2026 and again from 8:00- 11:00 AM CT on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CT on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony Marts officiating. Burial will follow, with millitary honors, at Munfordville Municipal Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Hospice of Central Ky or The American Cancer Society.
