Julia Ann ‘Judy’ Coomer, Hiseville

Julia Ann “Judy” Coomer, 81, Hiseville, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late George Willis London and Ruby Mae Jeffries London. Judy was a 1963 graduate of Hiseville High School and a homemaker who adored the time she got to spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Immanuel Ministry Church in Legrande.

Survivors include two sons: Barry Coomer (Mary Shannon) and J. W. Coomer (Michelle); eleven grandchildren: Coe Coomer, Heather Coomer, Kaytie Coomer, Hannah Coomer, Broche Taylor (Haley), Morgan Stovall (Brandon), Kaley Palmer (Cole), Brianna Ford (Harley), Brittany Lemons, Eric Lemons, and Joseph Toppe; twenty great-grandchildren: Greyson Pitcock, Aspen Pitcock, Addison McCoy, Kinsleigh McCoy, Oakleigh Stovall, Layla Stovall, Brooklyn Stovall, Paisleigh Palmer, Hadilyn Creek, Bexley Rouse, Graham Rouse, Dakota Palmer, Paislee Palmer, Emmarie Ford, Kenzie Graves, Brayden Graves, Landon Lemons, Harmony, Rowan, and Arwen Toppe; one brother, Wayne London; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Coomer; one grandchild, Tristan Lemons; one great-grandchild, Addison McCoy; and eleven siblings: Virginia Emory, Ralph London, Kathleen Meredith, Frances Morrison, Helen Binion, Donald Ray London, Wendell London, Joyce Abston, Jeanette Crume, Sammy London, and Charles Robert Emory.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In memory of Judy, the family requests that those attending the funeral to please wear something purple.
