Barren County’s Havoc 10u softball team brought home an 11th-place finish from the 2026 Grand Slam Softball World Series in Panama City Beach, Florida. The youth team represented Barren County in the national tournament, which ran June 24-28 and featured 30 teams from multiple states.

Havoc opened the World Series with a strong performance in pool play. The team went 2-1 in that opening round, first falling to Canes 2033, 7-1, then winning over Hericanes Fastpitch, 3-2, and 706 Elite, 12-2. Those results placed Barren County Havoc 10u 15th out of 30 teams heading into the double-elimination portion of the tournament.

In bracket play, Havoc faced tough competition from out-of-state programs. The team’s first game in the double-elimination round was a 5-4 loss to Georgia Mayhem. Havoc then met Mississippi Mayhem in its final game on Saturday, June 27, falling 3-1.

Despite the two close losses, Havoc climbed in the standings by the end of the event, finishing in 11th.
