Helen Lucy Lindsey Moore, Grassland

Helen Lucy Lindsey Moore, 95, of Grassland, passed away with family by her side on May 4, 2026, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a seamstress for Kellwood of Brownsville and Puritan Uniform Factory in Louisville and was a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Jessie B. “Jay” Lindsey and Lillie Farris Lindsey. She was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony Lashley and Johnny Lashley; a daughter, Holly Jo Lashley Raymer; two granddaughters, Carla Davis and Amy Lashley; three brothers, Edwin Lindsey, Jessie Junior Lindsey, and Joe York; and six sisters, Edith Etta Chambers, Lucille Bratcher, Genevia Lindsey, Louise Wilson, Willodean Johnson, and Pearl York Vincent.

Helen enjoyed singing karaoke, collecting dolls- especially Shirley Temple dolls and she loved the many dogs that she cared for throughout her life.

No public services are scheduled. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Surviving are two daughters, Rita Wortham and Vickie Ashley, both of Grassland; two sons, Freddie Lashley (Mary Ann) of Horse Cave and Sidney Lashley (Glenda) of Brownsville; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-granddaughters.
