Robert Glenn Coots Sr., age 73, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at his residence in Bowling Green, KY.
The Harlan County native was the son of the late Cyril Thorton Coots Sr. and Rosetta Creech Coots. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Elizabeth Scott, James Coots, Wayne Coots, Alvin Coots, Dorothy Cornett, Dale Coots, Cyril Coots Jr., and one grandchild, Charliegh Coots.
Mr Coots was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter–day Saints. He served as facility manager for 37 years and held many other callings in the church. He loved his church, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his wife Judy Coots, his sons, Robert Coots Jr. (Julie), Brad Coots (Laura) and Philip Coots (Amber), grandchildren, Mason Coots (Emily), Carter Coots (Marissa), Brayden Coots (Abby), Caleb Coots, Madyson Coots, Molly Coots, Bennett Coots, Tyler Coots, Grayson Coots, and Abigale Coots, one brother, Terry Coots, and three sisters, Pat White, Sue Emmert, and Linda Hartman.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel, 820 Lovers Lane, Bowling Green, KY.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter–day Saints, 1310 Cave Mill Road, Bowling Green, KY. Followed by burial in the Dan Johnson Cemetery, 242 Dan Johnson Cemetery Road, Morgantown, KY.
