A Glasgow man accused of threatening the Barren County Courthouse with a bomb and drones has waived his case to a grand jury.
Forty-seven-year-old Lee Elmore was arrested on March 30 by sheriff’s deputies after he allegedly called the threat to the Barren County Courthouse in Glasgow around 10 a.m., which led to an precautionary evacuation. He had a court appearance scheduled for later that day, and called to inquire about the disruption, according to a Barren County Sheriff’s Office press release at the time.
During an April 2 appearance in Barren District Court on the bomb threat-related charges, Elmore waived the case to a Barren County grand jury for its possible indictment, according to court records. In this case, Elmore is charged with first-degree terroristic threatening and third-degree fleeing or evading police.
His bond is set at $250,000 cash, according to information provided by the jail.
