Wanda May Gatlin, 71, of Covington, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Signature Health Care in Glasgow, Kentucky. Wanda was born October 18, 1954; to the late Harry Jackson Gatlin and Jewell Christian Pruitt Gatlin.
Wanda is survived by her daughter: Melissa Guy (Wayne); her son: Ricky Jackett (Alicia); one grandson: Dalton Jackett (Jaden); one sister: Barbra Gatlin. Many nieces and nephews who she loved very much.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Harry Gatlin, Jewell Pruitt, James Gatlin, Linda Parks, Roger Gatlin, Gay Gatlin, Abby Cross, Willie Gatlin.
Wanda was a fun-loving Godly woman who was loved by many. She was dedicated to her family and to her church. She enjoyed family gathering and going to church. She was always there when you need her, willing to pray or just listen. She will be missed by so many. Her last few weeks of her life she was so blessed by the love and support shown to her by her friends and family that came to see her in the hospital and nursing home. The smile on her face was something that will stick with them forever. She loved big and it showed.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the First United Pentecostal Church in Covington, Tennessee with burial in the Magnolia Gardens in Covington. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. at the church until time for services. There will be a memorial service at the Glasgow First Assembly of God Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 2 p.m. in Glasgow, Kentucky.
