Glasgow played a pair of tennis matches at Barren County against Clinton County on Saturday. In the morning session, the Lady Scotties took on the Lady Bulldogs, and in the afternoon the Scotties hit the courts against the Bulldogs.
Glasgow swept Clinton County, 7-0, in the boys’ match.
In doubles, Hudson Woodie and Kasan Peters beat Maddox Moons and Mac Hay, 6-4, 6-0, and Trace Brooking and Ian Parocai outscored Cannon Thrasher and Bart Pascual, 5-7, 7-6 (11-9).
In singles, Woodie beat Moons, 8-2, while Peters blanked Hays, 8-0, and Jackson Barrick topped Pascual, 8-2.
Also Brooking held off Ty Neal, 8-4, and Parocai downed Thrasher, 8-3.
The Lady Scotties won, 6-3.
In the girls’ match, Jamesanna Soto topped Autumn Carr, 6-3, 6-0, while Jadie Stahl outlasted Ava Lovell, 7-5, 4-6, (10-3).
Diya Nair fell to Lily Pence, 1-8, and LaDeja Driver rolled over Addison Carr, 8-1.
Driver also teamed with Zoey Johns to beat Pence and Jaylin Kinney, 4-6, 6-1, (10-1), in doubles.
In other doubles matches, Audra Austin and Korah Grace Jones teamed to beat Autumn Carr and Lovell, 6-4, 6-3, while Noelle Grieshop and Preslee Martin fell to Jaya Troxel and Addison Carr, 3-8. Also, Ximena Garcia and Paola Rodriguez downed Carley Jones and Sophie Muse, 8-1, then Garcia and Rodriguez teamed to beat Troxel and Emily Perkins, 8-1.
