Barren County hosted Clinton County and Glasgow for tennis matches Saturday. In the morning session, the Trojans played the Bulldogs, while the Lady Scotties faced the Lady Bulldogs. In the afternoon, the Barren County girls played the Clinton County girls, and the Glasgow boys played the Bulldogs.
The Trojanettes rolled over the Lady Bulldogs, 5-0.
In singles, Addyson McFall blanked Addison Carr, 6-0, 6-0, while Taylor Unles beat Jaya Troxel, 6-2, 6-0, and Rebecca Boone shut out Carly Jones, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, Lauren Neville and Aleigha Nuetzman teamed to beat Ava Lovell and Autumn Carr, 7-5, 6-2. Avery Norris and Brooklyn Wright beat Lily Pence and Jaylen Kinney, 6-4, 6-4. Finally, Bailey Stinnett and Reagan Embry held off Ava Lovell and Jaya Jones, 2-6, 6-3 (10-8), in a match that did not count toward the team score.
The Trojans beat the Bulldogs 3-2 in the boys’ match.
In doubles, Alex Taylor and Austin Emerson beat Bart Pasqual and Ty Neal, 6-3, 6-4. Also Cade Prichard and Kaden Rush teamed to beat Silas Baykin and Ayden Murphy, 6-3, 6-0.
The Bulldogs won two of the three singles matches. Hayden Coomer did win for Barren, beating Maddox Moons, 3-6, 6-3 (10-2). Mavric Payne fell to Mac Hay, 2-6, 3-6, and Dalton Hicks lost to Cannon Thrasher, 1-6, 0-6.
In another doubles match that did not count toward the team score, Cameron Price and Will Mouser fell to Neal and Boykin, 1-6, 2-6.
