Barren County High School students earned a long list of awards at the 85th annual Kentucky Senior Beta Convention.
Barren County students won the campaign skit competition, according to information obtained from the National Beta website. The school also took second place in show choir, third place in performing arts and performing arts large group, and fourth place in the living literature category.
Several students earned individual awards in a variety of academic and arts events.
Sawyer Mosby won the premier performer singer category, and in visual arts Emmory Shelton won in Division I sculpture. Hope Campbell and Lillie Smith were both listed as winners in the premier performer dancer category. Faith Ann Campbell won Division II poetry and finished fifth in Division II fiber arts. Smith also finished third in Division I quilling. Jaycee Bunch finished third in Division II cake decorating.
In academic contests, Brady Cook won the ninth grade social studies category, and Ryan Groce received fourth place in ninth grade science.
