Barren County controlled the game against Glasgow from start to finish Friday night. The Trojanettes beat the Lady Scotties, 65-26, to improve to 3-0 in the 15th District and 14-2 overall. Glasgow fell to 3-12 overall and 1-2 in the district.
Barren opened the game with a 6-0 run on a pair of three pointers by Mahalia Burton and Shelby Byrd. After a basketball by Kayla Kirkpatrick, the Trojanettes posted an 8-0 run to lead 14-2 with 4:40 left in the first quarter. By the end of the period, the Trojanettes led, 26-7.
Barren pushed its lead to 43-11 at halftime, and 61-18 after three quarters.
Byrd led the Trojanettes with 32 points, while Burton added 10 and Addy Slagle finished with eight points.
Jakylie Green led the Lady Scotties with eight points.
Barren County returns to action Monday at Monroe County at 6 p.m.
Glasgow plays at South Warren on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
