It took extra time to decide which team would remain undefeated in 15th District action Friday night. In the end, Glasgow held off Barren County, 64-56, in overtime to improve to 3-0 in district play, and 8-5 overall. The Trojans fell to 2-1 in district and 9-5 overall.
Glasgow’s Landon Minton drove the lane and scored with about 11 seconds left in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 49-49. Barren had one shot before the end of regulation to win, but a ball bounced off the rim.
The Trojans scored first in the extra period with a free throw by Cameron Pippen. Minton responded with a basket a few seconds later to put the Scotties ahead 51-50.
After Barren missed a shot in the lane, Glasgow ended up with the ball and Jaylen Bradley scored in the lane to put the Scotties ahead 53-50.
The Trojans couldn’t score on their next possession, and Minton scored again with 1:30 left in the overtime. He was fouled on the basket, then hit the free throw to push Glasgow ahead 56-50.
Carter Hodges added a free throw a few seconds later and the Scotties’ lead grew to 57-50. Barren did not recover from the 7-0 run, and Glasgow made enough free throws to secure the win.

Kade Hardy led the Trojans with 18 points, while Gavin Nunn added 11.
