The Trojanettes bounced back from their first loss of the season by whipping Warren East, 71-32, on Friday night in a home 15th District contest.
Barren County’s defense was suffocating throughout the game as the Lady Raiders did not score in double figures in any quarter.
The Trojanettes led 17-9 at the end of the first period, and 39-18 by halftime. Their lead grew to 64-26 going into the final quarter.
Shelby Byrd led Barren with 15 points, while Mahalia Burton added 14 and Ann Ashley Atkinson finished with 11.
The Trojanettes improved to 12-1 overall and and 2-0 in district action.
Barren is back in action Saturday at 12:45 p.m. against Clarksville Christian at Bowling Green High School.
