RECAP: Glasgow splits Monday games, gains forfeit win at South Warren

The Glasgow Scotties split a pair of games at South Warren on Monday. The game scheduled for Tuesday was forfeited by Todd County Central. With the forfeit victory, the Scotties improved to 5-4.

The Scotties opened the day with a 76-65 win over Muhlenberg County. Glasgow used a 10-point advantage in the fourth period to secure the victory.

Glasgow led 22-19 after the first quarter, but the Mustangs posted a 15-12 edge in the second period to tie the game at halftime, 34-all.

The Scotties clipped Muhlenberg, 15-14, in the third quarter to lead by one, 49-48, after three.

Jaylen Bradley led the way for Glasgow with 23 points, while Jackson Norris and Linton Minton each scored 16 and Jerrick Martin finished with 13 points.

In the late game against Beech Senior out of Hendersonville, Tenn., the Scotties struggled late in the first quarter and early in the second en route to a 69-59 loss.

With the game tied 10-10 in the first quarter, the Buccaneers posted a 12-0 run that extended into the second period. The Scotties never recovered and ended up with a 10-point loss.

Glasgow trailed 28-17 at halftime.

Bradley led the Scotties with 23 points, while Martin added 12. Glasgow played without Minton in the second game due to illness.

The Scotties picked up a free win Tuesday morning when Todd County Central opted to forfeit the game. They were supposed to play at South Warren at 11 a.m.
