Raymond A. Ward, age 64, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Barren County Nursing and Rehab in Glasgow, Kentucky. He was born on June 27, 1961, in Glasgow, to the late Raymond E. Ward and the late Shrada Wandaline Bowles Cumbee, and her husband Marvin Dale Cumbee.
Raymond had a profound love for his furry companions, Jasper and Precious, which reflected his warm and caring nature. He enjoyed spending his free time thrift shopping and could often be seen walking around town, embracing the simple joys of life. Above all, he cherished the moments spent with family and friends, valuing the relationships that enriched his life.
He is survived by his loving sisters, Debbie Ward, Rita Cumbee, Sandy Lyons (David), and Rhonda Beitler (Brett), several nieces and nephews, including Shannon Ward, Alicia Huff (Jason), Brandon Westover, Kali Ervin (Trevor), Michael Lyons (Sally), Chelsea Houchens, and Brent Houchens (Emily)and several great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pauline Glass Bowles.
The funeral service for Mr. Ward will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at A.F Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Bowles Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, and Tuesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to BRAWA in honor of Raymond.
