Glasgow High School students in the Health Occupations Students of America — or HOSA — club competed at region this week and took home many awards.
The following Scotties earned first place in their respective categories: Juan Miguel Manuel, Home Health Aide; Ava England, Patient Care Technician; Cassandra Gracia, China McFarlan and Aaliyah Haskins, Biomed Debate; Audrey Burchett, Taylor Wilson, Ava England, Hannah Jolly, Kenle Mutter and Abby Depp, Creative Problem Solving; and Zoey Johns and Audrey Burchett, Health Care Display.
Glasgow also took second place in five events: Diya Nair, Audrey Burchett, Olivia Rosser and Caroline Bishop, HOSA Bowl; Juan Miguel Manuel, World Health Disparities; Taylor Wilson, Nutrition; Audrey Burchett, Clinical Nursing; and Grayson Highbaugh, Terrin Carter, China McFarlan and Cassandra Gracia, Creative Problem Solving.
Reese Chaney received 3rd place in World Health Disparities, Diya Nair earned third in Medical Spelling and Reese Chaney took third in World Health Disparities.
Diya Nair also finished Top 5 in Medical Math, Keaton Haynes was Top 5 in Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine and Cooper Hatton received Top 5 in Sports Medicine.
