Betty Carol Polson Neal, 86, Edmonton, departed this life on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. A native of Metcalfe County, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Blanche Ball Polson.
Betty was the widow of the late William Clayton Neal and a person who loved her family. She was a former employee of Handmacher Fashions in Glasgow for seven years after which she was employed with the Metcalfe County Nursing Home for twenty years. She was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include three children, Ronnie Lee Neal (Deloris), Michael David Neal (Darlene), and Lisa Neal Barrett; five grandchildren, Daniel Jason Peden (Robin), Matthew Dereck Compton (Emily), William Tyler Neal (Kayla), Micah Ann Neal (friend Nick), and David Allen Neal; four great-grandchildren, Alisha Nicole Buchanan, Cody Andrew Peden, Courtney Danielle Peden (friend Charlie), and Gracie Elizabeth Compton (friend Maddix); one sister, Barbara Hatchett; a special friend, Mitchell Bray; several friends and co-workers.
She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Joe Hatchett.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2025 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
